WWE 2K20 – Fix Game Not Starting or Infinite Loading on PC 😺

Hello beautiful people! 👋 Yosh here. If WWE 2K20 won't start or gets stuck on an infinite loading screen on PC, you're in the right place. Running in windowed mode and disconnecting the internet at launch often fixes it. My cat Nando would sit on this guide. (That's a compliment.) 😺

Quick note: These steps only change how you launch the game (admin, windowed, no network at start). Use them only for a copy you own. Once the game has loaded, you can reconnect the internet and play normally. You've got this! ✌

Fix WWE 2K20 Not Starting or Infinite Loading

  1. Run the game as administrator – Right‑click the game's .exe (or Steam shortcut) → Run as administrator. Accept the UAC prompt if it appears.
  2. As soon as the loading or splash screen appears, press Enter. This can switch the game to windowed mode and avoid the infinite fullscreen loading issue.
  3. When the on‑screen message or prompt appears, disconnect your internet (unplug the Ethernet cable or turn off Wi‑Fi). Then click Accept (or OK) and wait for the game to finish loading.
  4. Once the game has fully loaded and you're at the menu, you can reconnect the internet. You don't need to stay offline—only disconnect for the initial launch.

If it still hangs, try launching from Steam with the same steps (Run as administrator for Steam, then start WWE 2K20), or set the game to windowed mode in its config or Steam launch options (-windowed) so it never starts in fullscreen.
