Saint Seiya Soldiers' Soul – How to Fix Lag and Stuttering on PC 😺
Hello beautiful people! 👋 Yosh here. If Saint Seiya Soldiers' Soul (Saint Seiya: Alma de Soldados) is running with lag or stuttering on your PC during combat, you're in the right place. A simple config tweak plus a few in-game settings often fix it. Even Nando gives it a paw of approval. 😼
Why Does Saint Seiya Soldiers' Soul Lag on PC?
The game can stutter or feel sluggish because of a config variable that limits smoothness, or because your resolution and effects are too high for your GPU. Fixing the config file and adjusting graphics usually makes combat much more fluid.
Step 1 – Edit the Game Config
- Press Win + R to open Run. Type
appdataand press Enter. - Open the Local folder.
- Find the folder Bandai Namco Entertainment (or similar—the game's publisher folder). Open it and locate the Saint Seiya Soldiers' Soul game folder.
- Inside the game folder, open the config file (often a .ini or config file—use Notepad if needed).
- Look for the line that sets the index variable (or refresh/display-related variable). Replace its value with FPS (in uppercase) as required for the fix, then save and close the file.
If the exact variable name differs in your version, look for anything related to refresh rate, vsync, or frame limit and adjust only what you can identify. Making a backup of the config before editing is a good idea.
Step 2 – Lower Graphics (Low-End PCs)
If you still get lag:
- Open the game's graphics / display settings.
- Lower the resolution (e.g. one step down or to the minimum the game allows).
- Set shadows to Medium or Low—or disable them if the option exists.
- Turn off or reduce other heavy options (reflections, anti-aliasing) until the game runs smoothly.
Step 3 – Update Your Graphics Drivers
Outdated GPU drivers can cause stuttering in many PC games. Keep your graphics drivers up to date (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel from the manufacturer's site). If you're not sure how, check our Game Fixes section for general PC game troubleshooting. You've got this. 😺
That's It 😺
So: edit the Saint Seiya Soldiers' Soul config (AppData → Bandai Namco Entertainment → game folder), set the variable to FPS as described, lower resolution and shadows if needed, and keep your drivers updated. Combat should feel much better. If other games give you trouble (crashes, won't start, missing DLLs), we've got more fixes on the blog. Have an awesome day—see you next time! MIAU. ✌
