How to Uninstall Valorant Completely on Windows (No Leftover Files) 😺
Hello beautiful people! 👋 Yosh here. If you want to uninstall Valorant (and Riot Vanguard) completely on Windows 10, 8, or 7 with no leftover cache or folders, you're in the right place. Doing it in the right order and deleting the extra Riot folders gives you a clean removal—handy for a fresh reinstall or if the game was giving you errors. Even Nando gives it a paw of approval. 😼
Step 1 – Uninstall Riot Vanguard First
- Open Control Panel (Windows key → type Control Panel → open it).
- Click Uninstall a program (or "Programs and Features").
- Sort by Name and scroll to R. Find Riot Vanguard (the anti-cheat).
- Right-click it → Uninstall. Confirm and wait until it finishes. Refresh the list (F5 or right-click → Refresh) so it disappears.
Step 2 – Uninstall Valorant
- In the same list, scroll to V and find Valorant.
- Right-click → Uninstall (or use "Uninstall" at the top). Accept and let it finish.
Step 3 – Delete Leftover Folders
Valorant and Riot often leave cache and config behind. Remove them so nothing is left:
- Press Win + R to open Run. Type
%appdata%and press Enter. - Go to the Local folder. Find the Riot Games folder (or Riot) and the Valorant folder. Right-click each → Delete.
- Go to the drive where you installed Valorant (e.g.
C:\orProgram Files). Look for a Riot Games (or Riot) folder with leftover game/cache files. Delete that folder too. - Empty the Recycle Bin so everything is gone. You're done—clean uninstall, no residues.
That's It 😺
So: uninstall Riot Vanguard first, then Valorant, then delete the Riot/Valorant folders in %appdata%\Local and in the installation drive, and empty the Recycle Bin. After that you can do a clean reinstall or free the space for good. For more PC game fixes and tips, check our Game Fixes section. Have an awesome day—see you next time! MIAU. ✌
